Legal
Terms.
Use the service responsibly. It's free, run by one developer, and offered as-is. No SLA, no warranty.
Effective 2026-05-03.
What you’re signing up for
extractoor is a free hobby app that turns long videos into short clips. There's no paid plan, no team plan, no SLA, and no guarantees about uptime or how long the service will continue to exist.
The free tier is capped at 3 videos per account, lifetime. If we extend it later, the new cap applies forward; we don't reach back into older accounts.
What you can’t upload
Don't upload anything you don't have the rights to: someone else's copyrighted video, leaked corporate calls, anyone else's private recording without their consent. We don't screen for this proactively but we will delete a job and ban an account if a credible complaint reaches @port_dev.
Don't upload anything illegal where you live or where the server runs (currently EU/UK). Sexual content involving minors, threats of violence, doxxing, and similar will be deleted immediately and forwarded to the appropriate authority.
What you make is yours
The clips are yours to use however you want, including commercially. extractoor is a tool; we don't claim a license to your output. That said: it's your responsibility to make sure the underlying source gives you the right to publish derivative work from it.
Service is as-is
extractoor is provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind. The clip-quality model has bad days, the queue can stall, the server can fall over. If a render eats your free quota and produces junk, we'll usually reset it on request. That's goodwill, not an obligation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maker is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. If you hate this paragraph, don't use the service. It's a free hobby app.
Data deletion + account closure
You can delete a project from the dashboard at any time. To close your account entirely, DM @port_dev. Account closure removes your row, all your projects, and any share links. This is one-way; we don't keep a backup tombstone.
Changes
We'll bump the effective date below and post a note on the landing page if anything material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Disputes
Something to argue about? DM the maker first. Almost everything gets sorted in 24 hours that way. If we can't agree, the dispute is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the maker is resident, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction.
